BOTOX® Cosmetic (Botulinum toxin A) injections are used to diminish frown lines between the eyebrows and to lessen the appearance of crow's feet. BOTOX®, an FDA-approved agent, inhibits the function of the muscles that cause the wrinkles, causing a smoothing of the skin and elimination of wrinkles in many patients. It's a simple 10-minute procedure consisting of a few tiny injections. You may resume normal activity immediately as any discomfort is minimal and temporary. Results are visible in a few days and last 3 to 4 months, however with repeated use results can last for up to 6 months.
Juvéderm™ is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid—a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. Dr. Selma eases Juvéderm™ injectable gel under the skin to provide a smooth, natural look and feel—so everyone will notice (but no one will know)! In fact, studies show superior results of Juvéderm™ compared to a collagen-based dermal filler and, almost 90% of all study volunteers who were treated with both Juvéderm™ injectable gel and another dermal filler preferred Juvéderm™! In addition, Juvéderm™ injectable gel is the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is proven to be safe and effective for persons of color. The injection process takes only about 15 minutes and results are immediate. Plus, there's minimal recovery or downtime. So you can step into your doctor's office for treatment and step right back into your life.

Full and well-defined lips have always been recognized as aesthetically important features. As we age our lips lose collagen and fat causing the lips to become thin.
Environmental factors such as sun exposure and smoking can also cause fine lines and wrinkles. Restylane®, approved in December 2003 by the FDA for use in the U.S., has the benefits of collagen with longer-lasting effects. Restylane boosts the volume of your lips giving you a more youthful, lush-looking
appearance.
The Premium depigmentation system developed in Spain, for Melasma, excessive pigmentation and various other imperfections caused by melanin. The Cosmelan®
system is compatible for all skin types and has a high safety margin. Cosmelan® Depigmentation treatment has an action mechanism based on the inhibition of tyrosinase, a basic enzyme in the melanin formation process. Several of the substances present in the Cosmelan® formula act by blocking this enzyme, or by inverting the metabolic process of the transformation chain. Cosmelan® Depigmentation treatment involves a very versatile, dynamic process which is easily adapted to the needs of each individual patient.

Chemical peels remove damaged outer layers of skin on the face to smooth texture, reduce scarring, and remove blemishes and pre-cancerous growths to produce healthy, glowing skin. There are three types of chemical peels, ranging from mild to strong – alphahydroxy acids (AHAs), trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and phenol – and formula strengths are tailored to each patient. They may be covered by insurance if they are performed for medical rather than cosmetic reasons. Peels may be covered by insurance.
